How it works

Creating a new account require a password. One of the worst things that you can do is use the same password for multiple accounts. If one website gets compromised, all your accounts with the same password will be at risk.

The solution is to have a unique and secure password for each of our accounts. However, remembering many complex passwords is impossible. This is where a Password Manager app come in. To this purpose, please refer to my article: “Securing your workstation: The Browser” for a detailed guide and explanation on this point.

Why not save passwords in our browser instead? The credentials saved in a browser are encrypted, but the encryption key is publicly accessible. A malicious user who access our PC could steal all our logins in seconds.
